The Story Time Team
Story Time is about more than entertainment, it’s a community. It’s a safe space to explore ideas, challenge ourselves, share voices and listen. The aim of every Story Time project is to responsibly grow connection.
I started Story Time because of my own desire to share and be real and tackle hard subjects through honest stories. But that was a year and a half ago and since then it’s grown.
In posts when I say “we” I don’t mean the royal “we”, I’m referring to the rest of the Story Time team, who often hang out side stage. So I wanted to introduce the rest of the team:
I’m Lily (holding my daughter). I'm good with ideas but have to delegate almost everything else. Next to me (always) is Lily Kim, my right hand woman. We have similarly fast paced brains and work at hyper speed together. Yesterday in an hour meeting we covered local politics/ our thoughts on how Disney portrays women/ future events/ social justice/ plus I threw in a floristry tutorial. She is whip smart and never sexier than with a mic in her hand. She’s pivotal to all Story Time events and we’re lucky to have her.
Chloe is so much more than a web designer she is our curator and brand developer. I trust her completely to convey our vision. Chloe is the best person to bounce ideas off of, she has a brilliant understanding of both business and aesthetics and knows how to merge the two to create content that represents our voice. Daily stories would not be possible without her and I couldn’t be more grateful to have her on the team. She has the best brain, the sharpest eye and the biggest heart. I hold her in really high esteem and wouldn’t run anything without the green light from her.

Leigh has been a huge part of Story Time since day one. On top of providing some of the very best stories she steps in to run things whenever I can’t. She is indispensable, brilliant, incredibly wise and I absolutely love her. She is currently working on the Story Time podcast which is coming soon. Her understanding of current culture is unrivaled and she kindly explains absolutely everything to me.
I am completely aware that our team could be more ethnically mixed, this is something I need to correct because this community is for everyone and we should reflect that at every turn. If you (are not white and) are interested in joining the team in some capacity please send me an email lily@storytime.site We have no money at all, so I know this probably isn’t very appealing, but one day soon we will! And I would love to hear from you, even if it’s just feedback, or especially if you’d like to submit a story, because we’re always looking to evolve and grow this lovely thing we’re creating.
Thank you for being part of this community.
With love,
Lily
