Part 1: A New Beginning?
By Granny Duck
14 Years ago.....
Year 2000 I was diagnosed Bipolar and admitted to The Denis Scott Unit (Psychiatric Unit)
Year 2014 I have been asked if I would like to be discharged on June 14th and returned to the care of my doctor
During the last year I have visited the Unit for weekly Psychotherapy
Every Week I pass this sign.......
It always makes me smile
Often I have felt like turning right instead of walking straight ahead
Now I have to make the decision to turn right or to stay
My Grandson is waiting for me....
I have deposited all my rubbish from my life through Psychotherapy in the Black Bag
Depositing it and dealing with my Bipolar will hopefully mean I will be able to help my grandchildren manage this hereditary condition in a faster less painful way.....
My Grandson is waiting for me....
What do I decide?
It has been 14 Years
Part 2: Isn't Life Strange!
Several months ago I entered a piece of work into a Competition.
To my delight I was chosen to exhibit my work in a travelling Exhibition. I felt very proud and very excited!
But the excitement subsided and I forgot all about it.
Then this morning I got a brown envelope through the post. I could not believe it, inside was a cheque for £15. Someone has bought it!
WOW!
What is even stranger, is that months ago I asked a local coffee shop if they would put my work on their walls. They seemed very disorganised and I gave up.
Then, this week I got a call to say I could put my work up immediately!
So the moral of the story is PATIENCE! and never GIVE UP!
Just keep asking and keep doing all the right things and you never know when it will pay off.
Probably when you have forgotten all about it!
LIFE IS SO STRANGE BUT ALSO VERY WONDERFUL!
